Immune System - How to boost yours with small steps.
It is not difficult to boost our immune system naturally.
As the winters are here, we are all concerned about our health, especially our respiratory system. A strong immune system is the first defense system of our body to fight the pathogens causing external disease. It is always best practice to try and build a strong immune system.
The immune system is an essential functional part of the human body. To maintain it at its best, we need to maintain a vibrant lifestyle along with clean catering.
Integration of specific small steps in your lifestyle can help increase your body's immune system.
Focus on vitamin-rich foods, because vitamin-C is considered a necessary vitamin to increase your white blood cell production and improve immunity. Try to consume all kinds of citrus fruits like orange, kiwi, guava, papaya etc., not only fruits but also many vegetables which have vitamin-C benefits. These include red bell paper, green paper, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, etc., so include these natural vitamin-C sources in your diet.
Always choose the natural route for building and maintaining a healthy immune system. Do not lure yourself into manufactured products that claim to be immune boosters. (Never waste your hard-earned money on these products). Mother Earth provides us with everything in our ecosystem, in our food chain, to develop a healthy and immune body.
Instead of coffee and soft drinks, use herbal tea as your comfort drink to incres. Herbal tea acts as a panacea for diseases related to the common cold, such as runny nose, sore throat, headache, etc. Herbal tea is a blend of herbs that help maintain an ideal immune level to fight these diseases. Turmeric tea and peppermint tea are my favorites.
Exercise or keep your body active.
Regular physical activity strengthens our immune system, and it enables our body to fight disease-causing pathogens. Practice walking all day as a part of your life. If your work requires prolonged sitting, then try to walk 1-2 minutes every hour. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Start your morning with a 10 - 20 minute brisk walk or jogging. If you are not working or are not retired, try to spend your time in basic household chores.
get plenty of sleep.
A good night's sleep is necessary to strengthen our immunity. During sleep, cytokines are released in the body, which are required by the body to fight inflammation and infection. If we keep our body sleep-deprived for long periods of time, reduced cytokine production reduces our chance of fighting infection.
So the moral of the story is that we need adequate amount of sleep to fight diseases. Try to have your dinner 2-3 hours before bedtime for quality sleep. Ditch your phone and try to read 1-2 pages of your favorite book for a night of deep quality sleep.
Take care of your stomach health, because 70 percent of the organisms live here. A healthy intestine is necessary to promote a healthy immune system.
Pay attention and try to reduce your stress levels. Focus on adopting an overall healthy and happy lifestyle.
